I Just Have No Words

I know people have been asking - where have I been ? I just have no words to describe this mess that is going on. I've chosen to say nothing and post nothing .Because if I get started , there is going to be dozens of rambling posts. This is an outrage.  I hope when people go to the voting booths next year , they remember what's going on. And I hope that Congress investigates all of the crooked liberals that are now coming to surface. And I hope they do it with the same vigor that they have gone after President Trump. 

Another waste

As if there isn't enough waste in the welfare cities run by democrats, Hartford leads the pack. In a state it came in 47th in economic development and near the bottom of the list for places people want to be, they keep giving away your money. On any given evening or late night in Connecticut you will find the Connecticut Transit company buses driving the streets totally empty or with one person  sleeping on it. And that person is probably riding on a free bus pass.  So the Hartford City council has decided to make an arrangement with Lyft to give free rides to former inmates. They decided that public transportation doesn't go everyplace they need to, so they will provide free door-to-door rides.I wonder if they will even pay those drivers a tip.

Your entire state is on fire, you have streets filled with homeless people using the sidewalks as toilets and your taxes are so high people can't afford to live. DO THEY REALLY CARE. ??

Do the Democrats in Connecticut really care about the environment, or did they just care about implementing another new tax. I'm talking about the plastic bags. If they really cared about the environment, they would do like the state of Alaska. They would just ban all of the plastic bags, and the merchants would go to paper bags. But Connecticut doesn't care about the environment if you are willing to pay them 10 cents for every plastic bag that goes out.

It's mid October and I've just heard my first Christmas advertisement. They start earlier every year. I don't mean to sound like a humbug, but if you've followed my blog in past years you know that I hate the holiday season. Everybody goes around and spends money that they don't have to try and find the perfect gift for people that they may only be in contact with once or twice a year. Now don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like to see people give gifts to others. I just hate the feeling of everybody feeling obligated to over extend themselves. You get that warm, fuzzy feeling in December and then pull your hair out for three months paying for it.  Also,.the constant Christmas carols and music on all channels for 2 months. Christmas is supposed to be a celebration of the birthday of Jesus Christ.  But the people that benefit the most are the Jewish business owners and merchants. And they don't believe in him.

I'm at a boxing match at the Connecticut Convention Center tonight.  If you are a regular reader, then you know how I feel about things in this state. I am just  amazed at what I saw tonight though.
The Connecticut State Police licensing and firearms division had 4 employees and a trooper here for about 10 hours.  Their job was to make sure all fighters had a license.  Yes, there is a fee for it. I was shocked that you have to pay the state and get a license to get your ass kicked.  Of course it took these 5 people to do what 1 person could have done.  Keep voting Democratic and this shit will continue.

Insomnia

I am laying in bed, wide awake, when I should be exhausted. It's 2:50 am.  I've had a busy day, I should be suffering from jet lag and I'm not.  There are a million things that can keep you up all night like finances, fear of diseases, big schedule on your mind and so much more. But not me, I'm worrying about the Democrats playing their little game, that's been going on for almost 3 years. More than that, I fear that the , let's say not so bright, people will start to believe this BS. And the brainwashed snowflake millennials, who think it would be great if everything were free, may actually put them in office.
If only there were some overnight Hillary Clinton speeches, that would help me sleep.

Walmart needs common sense

This is a joke,. But it makes as much sense as Walmart"s new policy on bullets.

Climate Change

Why does the Democratic party think that the USA  is responsible for, and the fixing of, climate change.
We are a small country with a smaller contribution to the climate change problem.
They are so busy blaming President Trump and his policies for these issues that they've developed tunnel vision. We already do plenty to try and curb the effects of climate change. Countries like China and others are the major contributors to this problem. But as usual the world expects the United States to fix it. personally, I think we are doing a fine job with all things considered. People don't realize that our country has grown over the last hundred years to a huge population with much more demands on mother Earth. This means more vehicles, more public transportation, more airplanes in the air, more trains on the rails and more production of electricity and fuels. Our EPA is already working very hard to try and handle all these changes in the country in a way that is much better for the environment. If the squad gets their way, and all those things that they want go into effect, it won't make a damn bit of difference on a global level. Because those four Democrats ,and their green new deal, can't dictate what's going to happen on the rest of the planet.

Just Think About It

If you're not watching Sean hannity on Fox then you are not briefed on current events.

What do San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland OR, Chicago, New York, Baltimore, Newark, Hartford and New Haven have in common ?? They, along with many other metropolitan cities, have been run by democrats for decades. And every one of them has a problem with crime, poverty, homelessness and lack of law-abiding people.

I'll never understand how the Democratic politicians from these cities can live with themselves. Every one of those cities has people sleeping in doorways and on sidewalks in tents, urinating and going to the bathroom on street corners and littering with needles and drug paraphernalia. Instead, they concentrate all their efforts on banning plastic water bottles from their airports, worrying about plastic bags at supermarkets and  giving illegal aliens services that they can't afford to give their own citizens.

Now the Democrats are actually hoping for a recession so that they can give a big i-told-you-so to president Trump.

How can you ever vote for these people that destroy our good way of life ?

Democrats are heartless

Once again we had a couple of mass shootings. The bodies have not even been autopsied yet or gone to a funeral home and the Democrats are already using them to further their agenda. They have no respect for the families of these victims and they have no clue as to what the real problem is. They don't realize that mental illness is the problem. All they want to do is limit your gun rights and make it harder for you to be able to defend yourself. I can't help but to wonder, if there was a person in that Walmart that was armed and shot and killed the gunman within seconds and therefore saving many lives, would the media and the Democratic party praise him as a hero. The answer is no. They look for every opportunity to get on their soapbox and sing the same old song

Jamaican born Scherie Murray is now one of my favorite people.  She is female, black, born in Jamaica and a smart Republican.  She is running for congress in NY. She is the one to watch as she goes up against AOC.  I've written all along that AOC will return to being one of the most popular bartenders in New York. She will only do one term because of her views and her attitude. Miss Murray has it going on. Let's all get behind her.

Connecticut doesn't cut it

Once again, tonight's CBS news reports that people are totally unhappy living in Connecticut. An economic survey reports that 47% of people living in Connecticut say they will be leaving the state within the next five years. Only 44% said that Connecticut is a good state to raise a family in. They are supposedly going to cover this survey in-depth Sunday on CBS face the state, channel 3 in Connecticut.

The new queen of assholes has got to be democratic congresswoman Presley. She held a news conference and said that we don't need anymore  Brown faces that don't have a brown Voice, or any more black faces that don't have a black Voice or any more Muslims that don't have a Muslim voice. Now that is the biggest racist in the world. But yet she calls Joe Biden , Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump racist. What would happen if Donald Trump got to the podium and said we don't need any more white faces that don't have a white voice. They would be marching on Washington.

I watched our President deliver an outstanding speech from the Lincoln Memorial yesterday.  It was not a campaign speech but a tribute to our nation and all branches of the armed forces. I couldn't have been prouder of my American heritage than I was during that display.  4 More Years.

Illinois is starting to sound a little bit like Connecticut. Their Democratic governor just doubled the gas tax, increase the income tax, put a tax on the plastic bags at supermarkets and went up on the cigarette tax. Why, you ask.  Because just like Connecticut,.they have a big welfare base and the state lost 45,000 people last year.

Even the very liberal WFSB. (CBS affiliate) reported that Connecticut is the 3rd worst state in the country for road trips. They further announced that  it is the 10th worst state in the country for attractions, the 11th worst for gas prices and the 7th worst for nightlife venues.  Other reports are that 300 + people are leaving the state every week with very few moving in.

Joe Biden

How is it that a man who was a senator for 33 years and then Vice President for 8 years with a record of doing nothing is leading in the polls. He was VP to the most useless president we ever had and is running against 23 people in his own party, and they all want to beat the most productive president we've ever had.  Go figure. 

Living, Breathing, Idiots

Everytime I hear any member of congress or the Senate from California or New York speak,. I cringe.  These are just people who are out of touch with what's happening on our planet.  And since they are voted into office by the people, I have to make the assumption that the majority in those states are in need of brain surgery.

Democratic Connecticut

Responsible Republicans don't have a chance in Connecticut. They got their $15 an hour minimum wage passed, their paid family medical leave passed,  their budget which includes many new taxes and a whole bunch of things on the Democratic agenda.
As long as the Republicans are in the minority in both the house and the Senate of Connecticut, they will never be able to stop these people.
I have never seen so many people so happy to pay more of their hard-earned money to the state.

Danel Malloy took a job as chancellor of university of Maine. Imagine that asshole being in charge of seven campuses. But he joins a long list Connecticut government officials that fucked the whole place up and then moved out of state.

Mueller

In the beginning, I considered Robert Mueller to be one of the consummate professionals. I was convinced that he would do his job in a fair and impartial way. And right up until the end when he delivered his report, I felt that's what he had done. That all changed yesterday. When he got behind a podium and started speaking   He said he wasn't going to answer any questions, and that he could not exonerate or prosecute a case because there was a sitting president involved . He became a puppet of the Democratic party. I'm sure that if he was subpoenaed and questioned , you would find that he was coached on exactly what to say by the army of Democrats that are presidential candidates for 2020. All he did was add fuel to a growing fire of people that are looking to impeach our president. Shame on you Bob Mueller. You had  accomplished your job, you did it with honor , and you should have gone away on top. Instead you're showing everybody the sewer from which you came from.

Connecticut bag update

So in Connecticut's infinite wisdom, they've decided that the plastic bag ban wasn't enough . They've now added all styrofoam containers to the bill.  Stay tuned,. They're not done messing with us yet.

CT still doesn't know what's important

With Connecticut residents having a hard time living, the Democratic legislature is still talking about getting rid of plastic bags in grocery stores and considering 12 weeks of paid leave for anyone to care for a family member. I can see the abuse now.  One person gets sick and 14 family members will take 12 weeks off to care for them.  They passed the $15. Dollar per hour minimum wage. But yet the roads and bridges are crumbling and ,in general, the state just looks like shit. At least they won't have those plastic grocery bags to deal with.

Fair, Real, Impartial,. My Ass

You have probably seen those commercials on CBS where they promote themselves as being fair, real, and impartial. So what's really happening there? Big shake-up, Jeff Glor is leaving the evening news. He is being replaced by Norah O'Donnell, the ultra-liberal big mouth Democrat. In the morning John Dickerson will move to 60 minutes and Anthony Mason will take over as the CBS morning news guy. So it is our understanding that the CBS evening news will no longer come to us from New York. It will now originate from Washington DC. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that Norah O'Donnell's husband is a DC restaurateur. She just has a bigger, wider platform two spout her Democratic agenda. There is no real, impartial or Fair reporting on behalf of CBS. Just watching Face the Nation on Sunday morning, Margaret Brennan does her best to constantly twist words and try to steer Republicans on her show to say things out of step. But when she interviews Democrats she seems to let them say anything they want without interrupting and doesn't try to steer them at all. CBS, if you're listening, you might want to really get fair and impartial  You will lose your viewers. You do have an excellent lineup of primetime shows and would be a perfect network if you can get your news people in line to be fair. 

Too Bad

The Connecticut legislature just passed a bill making the state's minimum wage $15 an hour. I feel bad for all those young people that are going to lose their jobs now because the employers can't afford to keep that many more employees on. I hope the states unemployment plan as a healthy budget

Today  Florida's oldest resident died at age 112.  She was still driving a car up to age 102 and in the year 2000 at age 93 she started knitting caps and booties for newborns. She had mad over 20,000 pairs.  RIP

2 Faces of California Democrats

This morning's news announced that 6 of the worst air quality places in the country are located in California. You would think between the massive floods, the wildfires and the air quality , that people like Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Maxine Waters would have more to do than worry about the games they're playing in Washington.  These are the homes and neighborhoods of the people that elected them. They have lost sight of the fact that they are there representing their constituents. Instead they are there representing the rebel faction of the Democratic party.

California, again

What's new in California you asked. Once again the liberals on the west coast are going out of their minds. Now that they have no styrofoam cups and no plastic straws they are targeting hotels that use the little tiny bottles of shampoo. There will be big fines to pay if you use those little plastic bottles . I wonder if that means that when you travel there and bring travel-size things from another state,  you'll  be arrested.

Sad News

My  friend Jim was laid to rest today. He passed away suddenly at the age of 37. Rest in peace old buddy, you answered the final call. You were a true public servant.

Every now and then you wonder about how the world balances itself. The sad news is that a very close friend of mine who was only 39 years old just dropped dead from a ruptured aorta. I worked a lot with this young man and admired is drive and ambition to make things happen in the world of emergency medicine. On the other side of the balance , that same night I got the news about my friend,  I went and I held a baby only 17 hours old in my arms. I guess that's how the balance is kept. One comes, then one goes.

I'm Baaaack

I can't believe the balls on this guy. As reported a few years ago when Richard Blumenthal was running for re-election, he's at it again. Old Dick Blumenthal was at an event today in Connecticut honoring Vietnam veterans that served. Imagine the irony of that, the guy who stated he was in Vietnam, when he never was, was the speaker at this event. He's doing what he does every 4 years, he is on TV four and five times a day, every single day, just so people see his face and hear his name. And then he hopes to get reelected by name recognition. Of course he has enough going for him since he's a Democrat and he's from Connecticut. If Connecticut residents haven't been screwed enough by the Democratic party, they need to smarten up. Governor Lamont ran on a platform of lies, like they always do, and now he's backing off on all his promises. Blumenthal will do the same thing, just like Murphy is doing ,and the rest of his party. Every year people talk about real change. Now is the time to change things in Connecticut.

On Friday, the Trump administration released their annual report to Congress on White House Office Personnel It includes the name, status, salary and position title of all 377 White House employees.  The report also said that Trump decided not to take a dime of his salary; instead he donated it to an amazing cause.

 

The report also showed that President Trump is far better at saving money. The total annual White House salaries under Trump are $35.8 million vs. $60.9 million under Obama, a savings of $25.1 million. 

 

Here are some other key findings:

 

There are 140 fewer employees on White House staff under Trump than under Obama at this point in their respective presidencies.

 

Thirty-nine fewer staffers are dedicated to The First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS). Currently, there are only five staffers dedicated to Melania Trump vs. forty-four staffers who served Michelle Obama (FY2009).

 

However, it's what the report said Trump did with this salary that has everyone talking.

 

Instead of taking his salary, Trump donated all $400,000 to the Department of the Interior where it will be used for construction and repair needs at military cemeteries! AMAZING! It's so great to have a President who loves our brave military men and women so much!

 

Oh, and where's the media coverage of this? 

That's right, they don't cover anything decent that the President does..

I want to be a TV weatherman

Where else can you become a well known, -recognized TV personality every single day on television by lying to people. They can tell you about their neat drones that they have, and the only radar in the state, and have trucks with names like storm tracker, snow monster and storm tracer. Does it help them tell the truth, apparently not. Once again, they predicted 3 to 5 inches of snow last night that had  people running to the supermarkets and clearing the shelves of bread and eggs, and people  gassing up their cars and filling their bathtubs with water.  So when you woke up this morning and found a quarter of an inch of snow (that was gone 20 minutes after sunrise), you made a nice breakfast with your eggs and toast, drained your tub and realized that you don't need to fill your car for a week. Then you called your weatherman (who calls himself a meteorologist) a son of a bitch and a liar.  But he makes about $200 K a year for getting it right about 23% of the time.  I need his job,. I can guess the correct weather better than that.

As I reported before,. Connecticut's new Governor wants to make it a sanctuary state.  Tonight the news announced financial aid will be given to undocumented immigrants.  It's the first step with a future terrible ending.

Wallethub has announced that Connecticut has the 4th highest property taxes in the country.  Add that to one of the highest gas taxes, cigarette taxes, sales taxes and many others, I have to ask,. Why do you want to live there ??

Does it matter how you say it ?

MyIn Connecticut, Governor Lamont gave his budget speech today. As predicted, you can say the state made love to you, screwed you, f&#$@d you or anyway you want to call it, it's going to cost you.
The hero said he's not raising the sales tax but there's a long list of things he wants to tax that weren't before. Things like haircuts, Netflix , legal services, dry cleaning and other services, are on that list. He's not going to raise the income tax but said smaller towns with smaller numbers of students will get less funds so that more funds will go to bigger cities with more students. Translation, your town property taxes will increase if you live in a small suburban town but not if you live in an urban city. Also, towns that pay their teachers a little better will have to pay more money into the teachers retirement fund. The only tax he wants to eliminate is the business entity tax. Whoopie, if you own a business you will save $250. Per year. But he wants the $15./ hr minimum wage, paid time off and other crippling charges for small businesses. Then, of course, tolls.  A tiny state like Connecticut will have 80+ toll gantrys. Not just on the interstates, but on every large highway in the state. Basically, if you live in Central CT you can't go to the beach, the New Haven theatres, the casinos or the airport without paying tolls. What does it all mean ?  Bend over and grab your ankles, the democrats are singing their same old, tired song. Just once, we need someone to grow a pair and say their needs to be a revamped welfare system.  CT has some 5th and 6th generation welfare recipients and a huge abuse of food stamps and many other social services. Democrats are afraid to address those issues. After all, that is their  voting base. Hairdressers that survive mainly on tips, will not get bigger tips anymore because of the tax added onto their services. Poorer folks that can barely afford legal services, that can be hundreds of dollars an hour, will have to pay sales tax on it. Connecticut is out to drive everybody out of the state.  I'm glad I moved out. 

Bernie wants in , again

77 year old Bernie Sanders is back in the race. He might as well team up with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or even ask her to be his VP. They both want a socialized Nation. Medicare for all, free college tuition, free everything. So when you Democrats enjoy paying a 75% tax on whatever you make in order to fund all this stuff, you can feel real good about yourselves.

Tomorrow at noon Gov. Lamont will tell you how many different ways he's going to rape you.  Things like tolls, healthcare increases, .10 per plastic bag tax, increases in other taxes and many other ways to screw you without the love. But all you liberals will be very happy. It's just what you asked for

1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes. So how can the
Obama 'birth certificate' state he is "African-American" when the term
wasn't even used at that time ?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's
birth as August 4, 1961 and lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, Right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father
is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in "Kenya, East Africa."

This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet Exist?

This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home," respectively.

The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

Why hasn't the following been discussed in the major media?

4. Perhaps a clue comes from Obama's book on his father. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I'm not a math genius, so I may need some help from you. Barack Obama's "birth certificate" says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when Obama was born. That should have put his father's date of birth approximately 1936 - if my math holds (Honest! I did that without a calculator!) Now we need a non-revised history book - one that hasn't been altered to satisfy the author's goals - to verify that WW II was basically between 1939 and 1945. Just how many three year olds fight in Wars? Even in the latest stages of WW II his father wouldn't have been more than nine years old. Does that mean that Mr. Obama is a liar, or simply chooses to alter the facts to satisfy his imagination or political purposes?

A Rare Post from me

It's not very often that you see me defending a Democrat. In the case of the governor of Virginia and this whole black face thing, I back the guy. He went on to complete college , he completed medical school , he had a great career as a physician, and now the guy decides to serve public office. There's a little to be said for that. He's smart and appears to have good ideas. I don't know what the problem is. A picture in a yearbook from over 35 years ago comes up, and they make a big stink out of it. Don't ever let it be said that the  The Ranting Captain isn't fair. Back in the 80s many people imitated Michael Jackson or wore KKK bedsheets. We all wore shoe polish on our face and tried to do the moonwalk, and we all just we're having fun at the time. Nobody back in the 1980s was saying racist or hurtful or anything else. Liberal media thinks they're on to the next big thing

I've heard several reports now, on a few different networks, stating that someone slipped the presidents schedule out to the media. They said that he spends about 63% of his time on unscheduled executive  time, meaning his own time. That would mean he spends 37% of his time working.  Most  everybody works a 40-hour work week. Considering there is 168 hours in a week, a 40-hour work week is approximately 24% of time. Meaning there is 76% free time for themselves. So our president takes 63% as opposed to the working public that takes 76%. What's wrong with that. Nothing, but its headline news..

Boycott the Grammys

Alicia Keys has vowed to use her platform, as the host of the grammys , to promote women in the industry.  I have flashbacks to the Oscars, when idiots like Robert de Niro and others used their platform and their celebrity just to Trump bash.  If they don't have an audience, their ratings will be low. Which means in future award shows ,they will be told to knock the crap off.

Virginia still thinks it's righteous

Virginia wants Democratic governor Northam to resign after his blackface / KKK photo was discovered. That would make Democratic Lt. Governor Fairfax the new Governor.  But he too was just accused of sexual assault at a democratic event in Boston.  Wow, I expected more from the Commonwealth that spawned Tim Kaine as a vice presidential candidate. What do you know oh, another party in disarray.

Superbowl Sunday

Only in Connecticut

As you've heard me say many times in the past, Connecticut just can't suck enough. The problems that this state has are unbelievable. There are solutions, but Connecticut is way too pompous to consider them. Of course there's been the ongoing budget problem, mainly because we have such a huge welfare roll. People love to come here, get on the social programs and stay on them forever. So what does the Connecticut legislature worry about now. Not the budget problems, they're wondering about laws to say no soda on children's menus in restaurants. Only water, sparkling water, flavored water and milk will be allowed. I feel so much better knowing that. Then of course their back on their soapbox for guns. If you're a regular reader you know I've written many times about the young man with the last name of Song that went in and basically stole a guys gun from his closet, stole the ammunition from him, loaded the gun ,played with the gun and shot himself. They think a solution is a law to say you must now lock up your ammunition as well. This state will never get it. Concentrate on the big items to keep people from moving out of your state. Instead you worry about every little tiny thing. When somebody has a problem, you react to it and the Democrats latch on like a dog on a piece of raw meat. Get over yourselves deal with the big issues.

Jack, a handsome man, walked into a DC sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the bar and stared up at the TV just as the 10:00PM news came on.
 
The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump. Alexandria looked at Jack and said, "Do you think he'll jump?" 
 
Jack says, "You know what, I bet he will." Alexandria replied, "Well, I bet he won't." Jack placed a $50 bill on the bar and said, "You're on!"
 
Just as she placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off of the building, falling to his death. She was very upset but handed her 50 dollars to Jack, saying, "Fair's fair... Here's your money." 
 
Jack replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 o'clock news and knew he would jump."
 
Alexandria replies, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again." 

 With that, Jack took the money and Alexandria headed back to her work at the US Congress.

Just when you thought CT couldn't suck any more

HELP. !!  The Arctic Blast is coming.  Temperatures are going to sync to 16 below zero. I can't wait to get back to good old southern Florida. just another reason why this state can't suck any more.

Roger Stone arrested

Maybe you've heard that long time Trump supporter and advisor Rodger Stone has been arrested. He wasn't just arrested ,he went out in very classic style. 17 police cars arrived at his fort Lauderdale home where 29 armed FBI agents with automatic weapons rapped on his door at the crack of dawn upsetting his wife and getting his animals fired up and arrested him. Maybe you saw it on TV. So let's boil it down. The man was wanted because he lied to the Mueller investigation. Boy what a response for somebody who told a lie. Wonder what would have happened if he stole a piece of candy out of the candy jar. Anyway the big thing is you probably saw it on CNN. How did CNN know that there was going to be a pre-dawn raid at Mr. Stones house?? Obviously there is a leak in the Mueller investigation. Somebody tipped them off so that they could be there to televise and embarrass Mr. Stone and his family. He was released in about an hour ,made bail and walked out. Normal procedure for a minor case such as this ,especially against a prominent member of the community, would have been for them to phone Mister Stones attorney, and he would arrange for Mr Stone to surrender himself the next day. But in their constant attempt to belittle anybody associated with our president they chose to go the other route.  It must be nice to have your own TV network to answer your calls.

Surprise, Surprise

You remember Andrew Gillum, the mayor of Tallahassee that lost the governor's race in Florida. Well like most Democrats, they just now found that he was taking big money from lobbyists. That's a violation of election law in the state of Florida, and the state ethics board is now investigating.

More proof that the Hippocrates on the Democratic party are not looking to get the government open.  They have been given many opportunities by our president to accept offers that he has made. They forget that they were hired to do a job by the constituents in their states. And those people are getting upset. They are going to follow Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer right down the toilet drain. When it comes time for their reelection , the people will let them know that they expected them to do a job for them and not for Nancy and Chuck and the Democratic party.

Why I love JetBlue

Flying tonight from CT to FL. We were supposed to depart at 8 pm. Then 10. Then 11:35. Then 12:30. Then 2 am.  My brother had warned me that they did that to him once and then cancelled the flight because the crew had timed out and had to rest. I asked if that was the case and they said that it very well could happen but they were doing their best to not cancel. They told me if I wanted to purchase a ticket on another airline ,they would reimburse me for it and credit me for my flight. I still had faith in them. They brought out refreshments and then bought a cart full of pizzas from Domino's. They found a crew at JFK and put them in a limo to drive to CT. Our plane ,which was delayed for mechanical reasons, went from St. Thomas to San Juan and then came to BDL in CT. Our crew arrived, plane was cleaned, and we departed for FL. So many people had cancelled, but they flew an Airbus 320 all the way to Fort Lauderdale for only 42 of us. Then they told us we would be receiving an email voucher for at least a hundred dollars.  I'm a faithful fan of JetBlue and they didn't disappoint. 
A special shout out to JetBlue supervisor Jose, Lead gate agent Kristina and gate agent Tanya.  They listened to a ton of crap from many people mostly looking to get something but smiled and we're polite through the entire ordeal. They were outstanding.

They can dish it out but can't take it

The Democrats have done absolutely nothing but obstruct President Trump since the day he took office. It's gotten worse since they took over the House and put the Alzheimer's dementia Pelosi as Speaker of the House. But the Republicans still control the Senate and the White House. So why are they shocked when FL governor DeSantis removed the elections supervisors from Palm Beach and Broward counties. These are the 2 places that botched the midterm elections that prompted a recount. Then he removed Sheriff Israel of Broward county. It was his piss poor handling of the Parkland shooting that cost more lives. The buck stops with him and heavy is the head that wears the crown. Did I mention that all three of those I mentioned are Democrats ?  Go figure.

Amazing group of people

I'm up in Jacksonville Florida for a few days and met a phenomenal group of people. It's a small world people say. I met probably the only Republican from the Sandy Hook area of Connecticut who also hates Murphy and Blumenthal as well as the rest of the Connecticut Democratic regime. Also a guy who is an unbelievable fisherman that has a wife that's a TV personality , a yacht broker from Long island New York and a transplant from Maine to the Florida keys. Great guys , we had fun. Thanks for the good times.

Hey remember back in September and October of 2018 during the Connecticut gubernatorial campaign ? if you go through my past blogs I'm sure you'll find several references I made to now Governor  Ned Lamont in Connecticut saying that he was going to drive his own small personal car in order to save the state money. I said then that the state police would never allow it,  and that he would never be driving his personal car. Well if you read the Hartford Courant, the other day they printed that the state police nixed  the idea of him driving his car stating that they must drive him around for safety reasons in a big SUV. I told you so. There will surely be more of my predictions coming true.  All Democratic campaign promises are bullshit. 

Over inflated sense of worth

I'm at Governor Lamont's inaugural ball. As a professional people watcher, I observe lots of different behaviors. This is actually funny see people wearing suits that you know they probably put on once every five or six years, unless they have  a funeral to go . Some are wearing their canvas shoes that can't take a shine . And then there's the over achievers , these guys are in rented tuxes with rented shoes and aching feet. And that's just the guys. The women look like overstuffed sausage casings. They all look  as if they are valuable members of the democratic party in Connecticut , when  actually  they paid $200 per person to be here and listen to shity music around a bunch of shity people. This little event cost a fortune. Half of the Hartford Police Department and 100 state troopers are all here. They had to set up magnetometers to screen everybody that comes in and out. I went to President Trump's inaugural ball  2 years ago and didn't have to go through as much BS as these people are going  through. They all look phoney as hell. Celebrating another 4 years of taking it up the butt.  Congratulations,.

The Chuck and Nancy show

Once again Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have shown us how out of touch with reality they are. They say they have a plan to reopen the government while allowing border security talks to go on. Well , they've been going on for two years and these fools have no intention of solving it fast. They don't realize that they are the problem. They talk about more sophisticated equipment to detect stuff at the border crossings . Hello, we're not talking about border crossings at entry points, we are talking about those places with no border control at all , where you can walk across a line and be in another country . We need a barrier. Both Pelosi and Schumer agreed to billions of dollars for a border wall when Clinton was President and again when Obama was President. They just don't want it now that Trump is president.

Connecticut still sucking.

I just learned that the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has named a new Director of the Boating Division and a new Colonel of the Law Enforcement Division. The old saying that whoever is seen by you often and kisses your ass will get the rewards is true. The law enforcement division had a couple of very qualified candidates ,who have achieved the rank of Captain and we're already running a district office with many in their command. Instead they chose the guy who took the easy way out to stay in Hartford everyday, who has not had any field command experience at all ,and made him the division colonel. Same thing with the boating division. They had many qualified people that worked right in the boating division ,or within the agency that knew the job well that lost out. Instead they chose somebody from the office of long island sound programs who's a great environmentalist ,but again has no clue what a boating division does or many of the programs that it's involved in. What's wrong with that state ?  They just keep making the same mistakes. My advice to all of those who lost out,. Just do your job, but don't train your new director. Let their incompetence shine through. 

60 Minutes

Did anyone watch Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on 60 Minutes ? She's a good looking girl but that's all she's got going on for her. She is so far off the charts with Bernie Sanders ,talking about how people should pay more taxes so that everybody can have free college education and health care and all kinds of nice things. She didn't say anything about working for them . This is why 29 year old girls, that are bartenders ,should not be in Congress. But then again she's a Democrat, and she's a minority , so there you go.

Vomiting

Nancy Pelosi is so full of shit. Listening to her speak makes me want to vomit. As I look around the chamber I see a bunch of dinosaurs. It looks like a bunch of corpses that keep getting reelected by name recognition. We really do need to clean out the house and put some new blood in there. She is too far to the left . And she's a puppet to Chuck Schumer. She's been speaker for about 3 minutes now and she's already starting her crap at the podium.  Gun control, climate change, more wages, LGBTQ, Obamacare, immigration and on and on.

Past Pleasure

Way back in 1972 I had the great pleasure of punching the speaker of the house of Representatives in the jaw.   I wish I could have that pleasure again with our new speaker today

Who had a happy new year ??

We know that President Trump didn't. He stayed at the White House hoping to finally make a deal for the wall and immigration control and border protection. He put out the Olive Branch to the Democratic party and the way they answered was Nancy Pelosi jumped on a plane to Hawaii for vacation. This shows you how committed she is to us, the American people. There is no question about it, the next couple of years are going to be tough. Back in Connecticut they've got a new attorney general named Tong,  he swears to be the toughest on gun  control that we've ever seen. That state sucks.  New Governor Lamont swore that things would be better. That he was going to lead in a different fashion. Then why hasn't he muzzled Tong already. even though they haven't  taken office yet and they're already dictating how much worse they can make things. I am very happy to be a Florida resident. Although I still own property in Connecticut, as soon as my wife retires that's gone to. It seems like if you are a democrat in Connecticut, then you are part of a winning team. If you call getting screwed out of money that you earned, to hand to people that don't earn it, Then you're a winner. Which makes you a loser. you enjoy saying that you're a Democrat because that makes you part of a winning team but when you're using duct tape to hold your shoes together, eating fast food and living  paycheck to paycheck  that makes you a loser.  Go ahead and Google the net worth of all your Democratic heroes in Connecticut. See if they live the way you do. Even Chris Murphy who supposedly came into the Senate as a poor man is now very well off. I wonder how that happens on a government state salary.  Open your small, closed minds and just think of what the Republican party is trying to do. You will live a better life. You will be safer. And you will have a few bucks in the bank.

The last post about police in morning was pretty popular. It was posted on the Lexington Police social media feed. Apparently many other police departments around the country responded to them sharing their grief. Krispy Kreme sent them a message as well, stating that they feel their pain and are sending them more donuts . They're on the way.

Do you remember that word? Would you believe the email spell checker did not recognize the word Mergatroyd?

The other day a not so elderly (I say 75) lady said something to her son about driving a Jalopy and he looked at her quizzically and said "What the heck is a Jalopy?"  

He never heard of the word jalopy!! She knew she was old..... but not that old. Well, I hope you are Hunky Dory after you read this and chuckle.  

About a month ago, I illuminated some old expressions that have become obsolete because of the inexorable march of technology.  

These phrases included "Don't touch that dial," "Carbon copy," "You sound like a broken record" and "Hung out to dry."  

Back in the olden days we had a lot of 'moxie.' We'd put on our best 'bib and tucker' to' straighten up and fly right'.  

Heavens to Betsy! Gee whillikers! Jumping Jehoshaphat! Holy moley!  

We were 'in like Flynn' and 'living the life of Riley'', and even a regular guy couldn't accuse us of being a knucklehead, a nincompoop or a pill. Not for all the tea in China!  

Back in the olden days, life used to be swell, but when's the last time anything was swell?  Swell has gone the way of beehives, pageboys and the D.A.; of spats, knickers, fedoras, poodle skirts, saddle shoes and pedal pushers...AND DON'T FORGET.... Saddle Stitched Pants.

Oh, my aching back! Kilroy was here, but he isn't anymore. 

We wake up from what surely has been just a short nap, and before we can say, Well, I'll be 'a monkey's uncle!' Or,  This is a 'fine kettle of fish'! We discover that the words we grew up with, the words that seemed omnipresent, as oxygen, have vanished with scarcely a notice from our tongues and our pens and our keyboards.

Poof, go the words of our youth, the words we've left behind. We blink, and they're gone. 

Where have all those great phrases gone? Let's all go to the beach Saturday"...  

Long gone: Pshaw, The milkman did it. Hey! It's your nickel. Don't forget to pull the chain. Knee high to a grasshopper.

Well, Fiddlesticks! Going like sixty. I'll see you in the funny papers. Don't take any wooden nickels. Wake up and smell the roses.  

It turns out there are more of these lost words and expressions than Carter has liver pills. This can be disturbing stuff! ("Carter's Little Liver Pills" are gone too!)

We of a certain age have been blessed to live in changeable times. For a child each new word is like a shiny toy, a toy that has no age. We at the other end of the chronological arc have the advantage of remembering there are words that once did not exist and there were words that once strutted their hour upon the earthly stage and now are heard no more, except in our collective memory. It's one of the greatest advantages of aging. 

Leaves us to wonder where Superman will find a phone booth...
